So you want to become fitter and feel better? You keep telling everyone that you will start going to the gym tomorrow. But tomorrow you find and excuse to do it the next day. The cycle just keeps repeating until a year later when you find yourself in the same state or worst than last year. You kept putting it off and eventually forgot about it. That’s the worst thing you can do!
All you need is to take the first step. Once you take it, it will become a lot easier. It really doesn’t matter how big or small your first step is. It could be bench pressing 20kg or running 1/2 mile. For most people, one you start to see and feel the results it becomes and addiction. You might walk into a gym for the first time and see these huge guys bench pressing 100kg. Just remember, they weren’t born strong. When you set your first goal, make it big, but realistic. If the first goal is too big, you will very soon give up. Step by step is the best method.
The last tip I will give you is to find someone else to achieve your goal with. However you have to be smart to find the right person. It’s good to go running with your friends, but it’s even better to run with someone who has ran a marathon. In other words, find a person who is better than you. As an example, when you will want to stop running, the person will push you to do that little extra. And it’s those extras that will add up to your final goal.
