My Mad Work Ethic

Work ethic. I love this topic. What is the definition of work ethic? Let’s ask Google:

Work ethic is a belief that hard work and diligence have a moral benefit and an inherent ability, virtue or value to strengthen character. It is about prioritizing work and putting it in the centre of life.

There are many different factors to being the best in your field. Whatever that is: your job, football etc. One of the factors is talent. However, that is not something you can change. You can’t just wake up one morning and have talent. It’s genetic. You can’t change it.

But the one thing that you can change is your work ethic. How hard are you willing to work to be the best in your chosen field? If you work hard enough, you will overtake people with natural talent in no time. Trust me.

So what is my work ethic you might be asking. I will summarise it, otherwise I would have to take you throughout my 24 hours, and that would be boring for you to read.

I believe in out working all of my competition. So if someone is training for one hour, I will do it for one hour and thirty minutes. Is this something I learned? No. I was simply born with extreme levels of competitiveness. I believe that my level of ‘wanting to be the best in everything’ is a huge factor in my work ethic. People that are around me often can clearly see this level of competitiveness. A lot of people don’t me just because of that. Ahahah! I will find a way to make a competition out of everything. Even shopping.

So if there is one thing that I want you to take away from reading this, it’s to outwork all of your competition. I am such a big believer of hard work. I just love the fact that all you have to do is to work hard to become better. In anything. Sounds easy, right? Nope. Most people aren’t willing to put in the work.

But I am. That is why I am either training, school work, or creating content online. People might thing I am joking, but seriously that is my life. I just love the process of becoming better and seeing results.

If you still don’t believe me, maybe the fact that I go sleep at midnight and wake up at 4:30 am will prove it. Why do I go sleep so late and wake up early? I am working on content for social media until midnight and go training at 5am.

How am I able to do it? Loving what you do is going to enable you to do just that. Love what you do. I love this quote by Steve Jobs:

Now, if you aren’t naturally motivated and wanting to be the best in everything, there is one legend that I found online. And I think if you do a little bit of research on him, it will be all of the motivation you need. He’s name Kobe Bryant. He’s work ethic is insane. And I mean insane. It’s going to be too much for most people, but at least it will inspire you to outwork everyone. Start your research by watching this short YouTube video:

If this doesn’t motivate you, I don’t know what will.
