We think that you must do big things to get to the top. Or we must do crazy amounts of work everyday to achieve success. And yes that is partly true, but the truth is that the most successful people got to where they are now through consistent, hard work, the key word being consistent. Sticking to habits and doing them everyday.
Yes you heard The Rock say it but here is what happend when I applied to slight edge effect to my training, and the results were ridiclious…
But firstly, what is the Slight Edge Effect: The Slight Edge is a way of thinking, a way of processing information that enables you to make the daily choices that will lead you to the success and happiness you desire. It’s not about doing anything crazy, but about doing little bit every day to achieve the goal.
Here’s is how I tried it… So I have always struggled with stretching. The idea of just trying to touch your toes for 45 minutes seemed boring to me. But then I though, how about I just do 10 minutes every day?
So for a month I made it a priority to stretch for only 10 minutes a day, right before I went sleep. And I went from having the tightest hamstrings in my sqad to something pretty awesome! Now, set yourself a goal and see how you can use the slight edge. Even if it’s as simple as staying more hydrated, drink an extra cup of water right when you wake up and before you go sleep.
